It was a time to celebrate the 4th of July and also Cherry Season* at Westview Orchards. This year we started picking sweet Black Cherries mid-June and finished July 16.

• U-Pick Sweet Cherries was open daily, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Remember: one half peck minimum per 4 people on U-Pick cherries.
  
• U-Pick Tart Cherries are not available this year since the spring frost damaged the blossoms.
  
• Ready Picked Cherries Were  available at the Farm Market  quarts or 1/2 pecks.

To make the most of your visit to Westview Orchards here are some U-Pick Tips:

• Dress for outdoor comfort and safety-- comfortable clothing, lace-up shoes not flip-flops
• Protect yourself and children from harmful sun exposure by applying sunscreen to exposed areas, wear hats with a brim, wear light-colored clothing and drink plenty of water
• Don't bring your pets to the farm - cars are too hot to be locked inside and upsets farm animals
• NO SMOKING in the orchard or anywhere on the farm
• Bring cameras to capture fun family times together - and enter our Annual Photo Contest (to win Westview Gift Certificates) on our Facebook page (Westview Orchards & Adventure Farm)
• Plan ahead to have a parent with children at all times
• Orchard Ladders are for adult use ONLY
• Please do not bring picnic coolers or outside food or drink on visit

U-Pick Do's:

• Remember that when you visit a farm, you are a welcome visitor. Like many farms, it is both the family's home and business. Respect their property.
• Read and obey all signs and caution taped areas. Follow directions about where and what to pick.
• Supervise your children at all times, keeping them close by for fun family picking.
• Wear shoes, shirts and other proper outdoor clothing at all times.
• Protect yourself from the sun by wearing sunscreen and a hat.
• Leave all pets at home.
• Keep head, arms, hands and legs inside when riding in farm wagons. Remain seated until the wagon stops.
• Enjoy yourself and have fun!

• Smoke Anywhere on Farm.
• Enter buildings that are not open to the public.
• Throw or damage produce -- someone could get injured
• Climb on or touch farm tools and equipment. Many machines have sharp edges and moving parts.
• Climb trees or step on fruits and vegetables in the field.
• Frighten or hurt our farm animals.
• Bring your outside coolers or food to the farm.
